Everything is blended in a thickly wooded undulating landscape.
This is not an artificial landscape and environs that one would find in a typical modern resort. The trees look ages old. And there are quite a few of them right from gigantic Banians to sprawling Tamarind trees with fruits hanging all over to Sandalwood to tall Kapok trees. In short it is a thickly wooded to give a feel of remoteness and serenity. Well, somewhere at the end of the driveway you'll find a portico.
A short granite paved trail along the edge of the lawn takes you to the lobby. There are rooms attached to the main wing as well the relatively remote block with cottages on the edges of the lawn
Golden Landmark Resort's outlook as a secluded getaway doesn't mean that its just a resort. Golden Landmark Resort has convention class facilities like large conference halls, the lawns are large enough for banquets.
Behind the lobby is a large swimming pool. And in the same building on the way to the  Restaurant is the Cocktail Lounge. All looks a lot secluded yet facing the garden.
In short Golden Landmark Resort is good place as a weekend getaway as well as a business class hotel.
For the Mysore city folks its a great place to dine. The buffet lunch is a value for money, and a sought after service. Week days are usually crowded with the clients from the nearby business areas; weekends are typically flocked by the families going for a lunch out. The buffet menu is pretty decent with an assorted list of salads and good deal of deserts. And of course the main courses are way too many even for a diehard foodie. And with Rs200 or so per her rate for the buffet wont leave a big hole in the wallet either.
All in all Golden Landmark Resort is a well kept, value for money, happening yet serene place to stay in.

Access wise too Golden Landmark Resort is located in a easy to reach area of the northwest periphery of Mysore city. You can reach Golden Landmark Resort by KRS Road or the Ring Road. The main gate of the resort is on the KRS Road just after the KRS Road crosses the Ring Road. From the junction head towards the KRS on the KRS Road, you'll find the gates on the left. Another landmark is the railway cross across the KRS Road beyond the main gate of Golden Landmark Resort.

If you are traveling from Bangalore side on the Bangalore Mysore highway there are two routes to reach Golden Landmark Resort. The easiiest one is via Ring Road. Turn right into the Ring Road, that crosses the highway some 10km before the city center. This is large traffic junction (look for Colombia Asia Hospital at the corner as a landmark  ) as you approach Mysore city. The ring road now winds it way and crosses a few (under) bridges and crosses the KRS Road. Before you hit this junction GRS Fantasy Park appears on your right and then your road crosses a large railway underpass. At the signal turn right into the KRS Road. A little ahead you can see the railway cross across. The gate to Golden Landmark Resort is on your left , before the railway cross.

The other route from Bangalore side is via Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary. On the Bangalore Mysore highway, immediately after Srirangapatna (after the bridge) you would take a sharp right turn to the road that goes to KRS (Brindavan Gardens). A few kilometers later on your right will appear the deviation for the Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary. Continuing straight towards KRS you'll reach a large junction. The left branch head towards Mysore City and the straight road towards KRS. Take the road towards Mysore city. Many kilometers down the road, you'll cross a railway line. Golden Landmark Resort is on your right immediately after you've crossed the railway line. By the way Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary from Golden Landmark Resort is about 7km and KRS about 12 km.
If you are coming to Golden Landmark Resort from Mysore City center, first get to the KRS road that starts from near Mysore Railway Station. Drive towards KRS ( Brindavan Gardens). Many signals later the Ring Road crosses KRS road. Hotel Royal Inn , a tall building appears on your left just before the signal. Cross the signal and continue straight on the KRS Road.
Golden Landmark Resort will appear on the left a little ahead from the signal. From Mysore city to Golden Landmark Resort is about 5 to 6 km.
