Cover Brindavan Gardens as the last item in your day's itinerary. The visit involves some long stroll from one end to the other.
This terraced garden below the Krishnaraja Sagara Dam (KRS) has been a legendary attraction for long. Many Bollywood and local movies song numbers where shot here.
The best strategy is to reach the garden site early in the evening , say 5'ish, so that you enjoy the garden in the evening just before the sunset. By the time the garden will be illuminated. Further you can walk down to the opposite end of the garden for watching the customary Musical Fountain finale.
Other attractions in the garden include a short boat ride (to the Musical Fountain area) and a small aquarium. Visit to the Brindavan Gardens is a crowded affair, especially during the weekends and on other holiday seasons.
The Royal Orchid Brindavan , one of the heritage hotels in Mysore, overlooking the Brindavan Gardens has a fabulous view from the balconies.
