Both Balmuri and Yedamuri falls (Edmuri) falls are located adjacent to each other. They make great excursion points from Mysore.

Balmuri and Edmuri route from Mysore side:
The direction for Balmuri is same as the direction for KRS ( Brindavan Gardens). Balmuri is about in the midway between Mysore city and the Brindavan Gardens.

About 10 kilometers after Mysore city, you'll cross a village called Belagola.

If you are traveling by bus, get down here (near the Belagola Tent). On the right you can see a cinema theater (Belagola Tent) and a road in front of it going towards right. Take this road. This road will go through the village and then through large open paddy fields. About 3 kilometers from Belagola village junction the road hits the river front where a temple is located.

A little towards your right is the parking space and the snack stalls aimed at the weekend picnic crowd.

To go to Yedamuri, turn to left from the temple. It is a mud road built along the bank of a canal. Trace the canal to its staring point, that is the Edmuri bund. It is about one kilometer from the temple ( Bamuri ) mentioned above.

Balmuri and Edmuri route from Srirangapatna (towards Bangalore) side:

This is the same route you would take , if  you are traveling from Bangalore side to Brindavan Gardens without entering Mysore city.

In all probability you would have taken that steep right deviation after Srirangapatna on the Bangalore Mysore road.

A few kilometers after this diversion, on your right will appear the arch for Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary. To be sure, your road crosses a large canal at this point. Continue ahead on the main road towards KRS.

About 10 kilometers from this point will appear the Belagola village. The rest of the route is as mentioned in the previous route plan.
