Mysore palace is located in the heart of Mysore city

Mysore palace is located in the heart of Mysore city. In fact the main atrial roads of Mysore intersects near the palace.The Mysore city bus stand too is located at a corner of the palace.The road from Bangalore to Ooty goes around the palace compound.

The map is drawn to an approximate scale. Most of the Mysore city is on the north,northwest and west of the palace. Chamundi Hills is on southeast of the city (also southeast of the palace). The map also shows the access points (ticket counter) for entering the palace. Note that the ticket counter is located at the southern gate of the palace, though the main gate (the largest gate) is on the eastern side of the palace.
