Mysore to Orange County Kabini distance is about 80km south west of Mysore.
The road is in great driveable condition, except the bit of patchy section towards the last few kms, which too is not too bad to drive on.
You would reach Orange County Kabini under 2 hours of drive. The Route is essentially the Mysore to Mananthavady (Wayanad) route.

From Mysore City exit to the Mananthavady Road (HD Kote Road / SH33).
From Mysore railway station take the JLB Road. At Srinivasa circle turn right in to the Mananthavady Road.
Also you may take the Outer Ring Road that goes around the city to get to the Mananthavady Road.
After about an hour's drive from the city, you'll reach a busy town square called Handpost. You'll see a fuel station on your left, just before the junction. Cross the junction and keep straight.
Under 3km from Handpost, the main road makes a right bend at a junction. If you drive fast, it's likely to miss this junction.
Leave the main road at the bend and take the left road to Kabini Dam.
In about 10km you'll cross the Dam (appear on your right). Keep drive on the main road for another 15km, you'll see a right diversion for the Orange County. It's another 4km drive from this diversion to Orange County Kabini on the shores of the Kabini backwaters.
