This oddly named passenger train between Bangalore and Mysore, is a great connection, if you wants to travel between the cities in during the midnight hours.
All the coaches are General Unreserved types except a Second Class Sleeper coach usually attached next to the engine.
This train (along with other passenger trains) has the cheapest fare for a travel between Bangalore and Mysore. The Second Class Sleeper, the cost is Rs95 including the reservation charges.
Still better is the unreserved General Coach ticket that costs Rs30 for a 140km journey!
This train (Train No:56264) leaves Bangalore City Jn at 11.55pm and reaches Mysore Jn by 4am. In its four hour journey it stops at all the 16 stations between Bangalore and Mysore.
For the return too the schedule is the same for the Night Queen Passenger (Train No:56263), leaves Mysore at 11.55pm and reaches Bangalore Jn early by 4am.
So in case you wants to save a day travel time, book by the sleeper coach in Night Queen Passenger. Book sleeper ticket in advance online at irctc.co.in website as there are only limited berths (1 sleeper coach).
